New Opera Lab
Tapestry’s 2011-2012 season is all about cementing our reputation as the home to new opera in Canada. We are creators, developers and performers, all collaborating in telling stories that need to be told. We cannot sustain this position without the vital creative input of artists such as yourself.
This season we are continuing the New Opera Lab, a series of events and workshops providing creative artists, who are invested in the creation of new opera, to further engage with the form and meet potential artistic collaborators in an informal and fun environment.
We are opening our studio doors to Tapestry Liblab Alumni as well as to artists who have an interest in learning about the new opera creative process. Members of the Tapestry administrative team, creative teams working within the Tapestry production cycle and representatives from contemporary music and performance companies will be invited to join in the conversations and events throughout the season.
