September 26, 27 & 28, 2008 in the Ernest Balmer Studio

Opera Briefs 8, our annual season opener presents scenes from the LibLab.  We extended to three shows this year – by popular demand (hooray!) – and celebrated the work of Tapestry’s newest writers and composers, including two international composers and some heavy weight Toronto writers.  Resident Studio Company Director Tom Diamond directed the entire programme and with two talented répétiteurs and 5 singing actors brought to life ten 5-minute operas -  dramatic, mournful, silly, absurd, you name it – in the Ernest Balmer Studio.
